Priceline Cosmetics Haul & Review!

Hello!

So, a few weeks ago Priceline had a 40% all cosmetics sale. Needless to say, I had to check it out. However! I decided to only pick myself up a select few things because I’m heading to the states in a few weeks, where I’ll have my pick of a lot of the brands Priceline has to offer for a much more affordable price!

So lets get started with some swatches and mini-reviews of each product I bought!

I’ve been wanting to try out the Australis Fresh & Flawless pressed powder for a really long time now! And looking and their display I realised that they’re such an affordable brand of make up for the quality that they are. And lucky me, I was getting it for almost half price that day! 😉 To be honest I really don’t have a large collection of powders, so I don’t have a lot to go off in terms of comparison, butI’ve worn this powder a couple of times and I really like it so far! It’s soft and not chalky. On the days I’ve worn it I’ve only worn concealer, and normally when I do this my concealer breaks up so quickly. But, when I used this powder over the top my concealer lasted a lot longer.

Now, on to the Rimmel concealer! I am a concealer junkie. I have dark purple bags under my eyes regularly, and they get even worse when I’ve got bad allergies or I’m sleep deprived. So, when I put a good concealer on to cover those bad boys I feel like my whole face changes! I have worn this concealer twice so far, and I like it. I will say that it, much like it’s matching foundation, has a flowery smell to me – which bothers my allergies. But the consistency is creamy and the colour match to my skin is great. My Nars Creamy Concealer still rules them all, but I’d say this one is great for the price!

But now onto my favourite things ever –  some lip products! The first is the Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream in the shade Hon-O-Loo-Loo. I have the Lime Crime Liquid to Matte lip stains and have kind of fallen in love with the idea of a matte lip gloss. It’s so much easier to apply than a lipstick and I find that they stay long a lot longer than matte lipsticks too! This lip cream is so easy to apply as it’s not an intense colour (no liner necessary!), but oh boy does it stay on! It has not lasted me a whole day, but I did apply this lip cream before going to dinner and after the meal was over it was STILL on my lips!

I also picked up a lip liner from Essence in Saint Mauve. Those liners are inexpensive to start with so they were an absolute bargain at the sale! And as I’ve been really loving more of a nude, plum or pink lip lately I thought this liner would come in handy! Its soft, glides on easily, and I just can’t complain for the price point!

I also found two Sally Hansen nail polishes that I couldn’t resist. The first one was a simple black colour – seeing as my two black polishes have begun to dry up. I really love the Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear formula so I knew this would be a great one to pick up. I also got a gorgeous Color Frenzy glitter by Sally Hansen. I just loved the colours of gold, pink and black, with all different sized glitter pieces. And as you can see, it comes out very cute over a colour!

So that’s it from me. I’ve really enjoyed writing my first beauty related post. And I’ve definitely enjoyed trying out these new products!
